How PrivyMermaid works
Mermaid rendering uses the copy bundled with the app or extension. Your diagram is rendered locally—there is no remote rendering API, CDN dependency or PrivyMermaid cloud service.
On Chrome, data is kept in the extension’s local storage. Native versions keep their workspace in the app’s private local storage. You can remove this data through the app, browser extension settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Optional local AI
If you choose to use AI assistance, PrivyMermaid connects directly to the Ollama server you configure, such as http://localhost:11434. Prompts and diagram content are sent only to that endpoint. PrivyMermaid does not operate an AI relay or hosted inference service.
No in-product tracking
PrivyMermaid includes no in-product usage analytics, advertising identifiers, telemetry or tracking libraries. We do not collect browsing history, account data, diagram content or prompt text.
Website download metrics
When you click a PrivyMermaid download or store link on this website, we record an anonymous click event to understand which releases and platforms people need. The event contains the selected platform, release version when the link has one, operating-system and browser name/version derived from the request, and the page where the link was clicked.
We do not store your IP address, full user-agent string, referrer, cookies, account identity or a persistent visitor identifier with these events. A download-link click is not treated as a confirmed download, installation or purchase.
Android beta sign-up
If you choose to join the PrivyMermaid Android beta, we store the email address you submit so we can send beta invitations and related testing updates. We do not use it for product analytics, advertising or any unrelated mailing list. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
